Job Description
Your role as a Production Quality Control Engineer will involve independently handling shifts to ensure optimized production as per the production plan and conducting corrective and preventive maintenance of production equipment. You will be responsible for handling SWR, PVC, CPVC, and their compounding grade polymers, plasticizers, fillers/additives, and masterbatches. Additionally, daily monitoring of all production processes to identify and resolve defects in pipes will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also be conducting online quality control of pipes and granules to reduce rejection rates. Key Responsibilities: - Devise and establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications in alignment with company and industry requirements. - Conduct regular inspections, audits, and tests on raw materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. - Collect, analyze, and report on quality data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports for management and stakeholders. - Investigate the root cause of defects and customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Ensure compliance with all relevant national, international, and regulatory standards. - Collaborate with purchasing staff to ensure external suppliers meet quality specifications. - Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, waste reduction, and increased efficiency in production processes. - Provide training to staff on quality procedures, standards, and methodologies to promote a quality-focused culture. Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of threading, slotting of casing column pipe, and testing of PVC & CPVC pipes (Hydraulic, Tensile, Impact, Reversion, VST, Density, Ash Content). - Experience in quality control, inspections, and testing procedures. - Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting. - Problem-solving abilities to investigate defects and implement corrective actions. - Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier management and staff training.
