Role Overview: As an Economic Analyst at WSP India, you will be responsible for conducting applied economic analysis, managing large datasets, building interactive dashboards and reports, translating raw data into actionable insights, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the development of in-house tools, and supporting business development through analytical inputs. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct applied economic analysis, including cost-benefit assessment, policy evaluation, and basic modelling. - Manage and interrogate large datasets, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reproducibility of results. - Build interactive dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) to present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. - Translate raw data into actionable insights that support business cases, socio-economic assessments, and strategic recommendations. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (planning, transport, environment, real estate) to integrate economic evidence into broader project deliverables. - Contribute to the development of in-house tools, modelling frameworks, and data visualization standards. - Support business development through analytical inputs to proposals, presentations, and client discussions. Qualifications and Experience: - Undergraduate degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field; postgraduate qualification preferred. - Strong background in applied economics, quantitative analysis, or policy evaluation. - Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, R, Python, or Stata) and data visualization platforms. - Experience in building and maintaining dashboards, automating data pipelines, and presenting analysis to senior stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to handle and analyze large, complex datasets (e.g. socio-economic, demographic, spatial, or market data). - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear narratives.
