Job Description
As a Manager of Purchase/Procurement for a hospital chain, your role will involve developing the organizational procurement strategy and managing the complete procurement profile. This includes vendor management by overseeing current vendors and onboarding new vendors to ensure a smooth supply and chain management process. You will be responsible for procuring a variety of items such as Stents, Hardware, Pharmacy items, General Stationary, Housekeeping Material, Hospital Linen, Surgical & disposable Items with a strict focus on quality control. Your key responsibilities will include: - Day to day coordination with hospital units for efficient supply chain operations. - Identifying and implementing cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities. - Selecting and managing procurement systems. - Authorizing purchase orders and handling purchase returns. - Developing the skills and competency of procurement staff through training and knowledge management. - Leading cross-functional team collaboration with other business functions. - Managing budgets for categories under your supervision and for the procurement department. - Generating Indents and Purchase Orders for all departments. - Reviewing GRN Registers and following up on pending purchase orders. - Ensuring the upkeep of equipment and general assets in the hospital. Your qualifications should include: - Total work experience of 4 years, with preferred experience of 5 years in a hospital setting, 3 years in a pharmacy, and 4 years in purchasing.
