Job Description
    Role Overview: At Framed, every image is treated as a unique story, not just a frame. Our approach involves editing with intent, understanding the message behind the image, and using light, color, tone, and crop to enhance its narrative. As a Senior Photo Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the final visual output of various shoots, ranging from weddings to commercial projects. This is a creative leadership position that requires a deep understanding of mood, rhythm, visual balance, and emotional timing. Key Responsibilities: - Visual Curation: Select images that effectively communicate a story, evoke emotions, and showcase thoughtful design rather than just focusing on technical aspects. - Grading & Mood Creation: Apply color grading techniques that enhance the narrative tone of the images, such as cinematic, warm, raw, or timeless, without relying on preset templates. - Bulk Editing Mastery: Efficiently handle large sets of images while ensuring a high level of consistency and visual quality. - Style & Consistency Checks: Maintain brand consistency and quality standards across various types of deliveries, including weddings, products, lifestyle shoots, and portraits. - Team Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior editors, provide feedback on their work, and help them improve to meet Framed's visual standards. - Creative Syncing: Collaborate with photographers and the Creative Director to align editing styles with the original shoot intent and brand tone. - System Thinking: Propose and assist in implementing improved workflows, file-naming structures, and quality assurance processes to streamline the department's operations. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of industry experience - Profound understanding of composition, lighting, and storytelling through images - Proficiency in Lightroom for both batch and individual editing tasks - Strong skills in Photoshop for tasks like cleanup, cloning, color correction, and retouching - Familiarity with cinematic grading techniques - Ability to replicate and adapt grading styles according to brand guidelines - Experience with high-volume editing in areas like weddings, commercial projects, or editorial content Note: This is a leadership-track position with the potential to advance to the Head of Post-Production role, where you will influence the aesthetic direction of numerous shoots, mentor upcoming editors, and collaborate closely with creative leads on defining brand visuals.
