Job Description

Auriant is a fast-growing e-commerce brand specializing in premium home and lifestyle products. As part of our initiative Auriant Artisans, we collaborate with talented artisans and traditional craft producers across India to bring their products to the national market under the Auriant brand.

As a Procurement Associate at Auriant, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with artisans and suppliers, sourcing products, negotiating terms, and ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality products.

**Role Responsibilities:**
- **Artisan & Supplier Engagement**
  - Travel extensively across India to meet artisans, craftsmen, and small manufacturers
  - Build strong, trust-based relationships with artisan partners
  - Communicate clearly regarding product expectations, cost, timelines, and supply capabilities
  - Coordinate product sampling, purchase agreements, and catalogue onboarding
  - Represent Auriant professionally during field visits and negotiations

- **Procurement & Negotiation**
  - Evaluate product quality, craftsmanship, and market suitability
  - Negotiate pricing, supply terms, and delivery schedules
  - Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining product quality standards
  - Maintain structured procurement documentation and supplier records

- **Communication & Coordination**
  - Act as a liaison between Artisans and Auriant Procurement/ Operations Director
  - Coordinate with operations and warehousing teams on incoming stock
  - Ensure clarity on delivery quantity, packaging expectations, and delivery deadlines
  - Report progress, risks, and procurement insights to management

**Requirements:**
- Fluency in Malayalam, Hindi, and English (preferred)
- Valid driver's license required
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess quality and craftsmanship
- Professional, respectful representation of the company at artisan sites
- Basic understanding of sourcing, procurement, or field coordination preferred

The compensation for this role ranges from 13,000 to 20,000 per month, based on skills and experience.

This role is crucial in building Auriants artisan ecosystem and supporting local craftsmanship. Your work will directly impact product sourcing, supplier development, and artisan partnerships.
