Unlearning is letting go of the established ways of acting and thinking. One may have the misconception of unlearning as wrong as it is oversimplified. It doesn’t remove or underestimate one’s knowledge. Unlearning can be challenging initially as many of us are used to acquisition. It elevates one’s knowledge up to-the-minute. For example, if one learns and gains some knowledge in a specific field, he or she can exhibit the knowledge to the requirement of the work station. To embrace the new work, he/she should know to unlearn the needless information and relearn the new conception in the field.

Relearning is the upskilling or reskilling to the demand of the job.

In the fast and dynamic world, change remains unchanged. He, who meets out his knowledge and a willingness to widen his perspective and embrace changes will survive and grow. As Darwin rightly puts forth, “In the struggle for survival, the fittest win out at the expense of their rivals because they succeed in adapting themselves best to their environment.”
