Strictly speaking, this is not a "job", as I don't get a paycheck of any sort. However, the Georgia Tech Undergraduate Aerospace Design Team is, operationally, much like a part-time job. We go through all phases of the design process, from the taking of requirements and conceptual design through flight testing and rapid prototyping. All aircraft are manufactured in house with Laser Cutting technology, 3-D Printing Technology, and Computer Aided Design software. The UAD Team participates in the AIAA Design-Build-Fly competition and three classes of the SAE Aero Design East Competition. For SAE, we compete in Regular, Micro, and Advanced class.
