Mexico

Mexico is a country located in North America. It borders the United States to the north and the Central America region, specifically the countries of Guatemala and Belize, to the south. The country is also in close proximity to the countries in the Caribbean region. For competitive Smash purposes, it is often further split into 9 regions:

• Baja California, which includes Baja California and Baja California Sur
• Central Mexico, which includes México and Mexico City
• East Mexico, which includes Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala, and Veracruz
• North Central Mexico, which includes Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Zacatecas
• Northeast Mexico, which includes Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas
• Northwest Mexico, which includes Chihuahua, Durango, Sinaloa, and Sonora
• South Mexico, which includes Chiapas, Guerrero, Morelos, and Oaxaca
• West Mexico, which includes Colima, Jalisco, Michoacán, and Nayarit
• Yucatán Peninsula, which includes Campeche, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, and Yucatán
