Who is Subway Doodle?

Subway Doodle is a multimedia artist celebrated for his whimsical, New York City-inspired illustrations and vibrant street art. Best known for his signature blue monsters, his work has captured the imagination of fans worldwide.

Subway Doodle has carved a distinctive niche in contemporary street art through his simple methodology: photographing ordinary commuters and digitally superimposing vibrant, blue monsters that interact with human subjects in humorous and sometimes poignant ways. The artwork creates stories that reveal the fantastical potential humming beneath everyday reality.

His art has been featured in major media outlets, including Newsweek, Esquire, The Guardian, The Huffington Post, and Hi-Fructose. He has collaborated with top brands such as Shake Shack, the New York Yankees, Hyundai Cards, Hurley, the ASPCA, and the American Music Awards.

Subway Doodle is the only artist to be featured in a solo exhibition at the Banksy Museum in New York City.

Subway Doodle sold an animated show to Comedy Central and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Dead & Company, Naughty By Nature, and Doug E. Fresh.

Subway Doodle has directed music videos, commercials, and short films, and animated a promo starring Daniel Radcliffe for TBS. His work in television has earned him two Emmys, dozens of media awards, and has been displayed at the Museum of the Moving Image.

An active member of New York City’s street art community, Subway Doodle has painted murals in NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Denver, Newburyport, Dubai, Westchester, Worcester, and Portland, Maine. He has designed window displays for Bloomingdale’s flagship store in Manhattan and painted the iconic pull-down gates of Nathan’s Famous on the Coney Island Boardwalk.
