SWRE is seeking a highly competent individual to fill the position of Apprentice or Journeyman Lineman in the Oklahoma region of SWRE territory. REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
JOB SUMMARY
- Assists in the construction, replacement and maintenance of electric distribution structures and equipment
- Operates vehicles and performs groundwork while utilizing proper techniques and safety procedures
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Applicants MUST be over the age of 18
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Applicant MUST reside within a 20-mile radius of Tipton, OK
- CDL license preferred. However, the cooperative will assist with CDL licensing requirements and expenses upon employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work will be performed primarily outdoors and occasionally sitting at a work station operating a computer keyboard. The job entails frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. Hours outside of the normal daily work period may be irregular and include nights, weekends, and holidays.
