We’re Maps and Melodies, makers of immersive battlemaps and original music to bring your tabletop roleplaying games to life.</h2>We’re a pair of childhood friends turned creative partners, designing the fantastical worlds we’ve been dreaming up since we were kids. This page brings together our two independent creative endeavors: Alex (<a href="https://twitter.com/boykingofidaho" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">The Boy King of Idaho</a>) and Kadin (<a href="https://twitter.com/paperboymaps" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Paper Boy Maps</a>). We like to take a unique and flavorful approach to our creations, breathing fresh life into old fantasy clichés, and inventing new ones on the fly. Imagine the kind of map you might discover inside a dusty scroll in the attic of some mysterious great uncle. Or the strange music you might hear drifting out unaccountably from some mist-covered bog.<h3 style="">What patrons get:</h3><ol><li>Distinctive battlemaps, full of little details to ignite you and your player’s imaginations</li><li>Exciting, cinematic music and ambient soundscapes that go well beyond your standard medieval tavern ballad</li></ol>We want to help you punctuate hair-raising moments of suspense, hype up your players for epic showdowns in the arena, set you at ease on a journey through peaceful countryside, and everything in between.<h3 style="">Which tier is right for you?</h3>We recommend starting by taking a gander at the Local Legend tier for the powerful combo of map variants (that can dramatically change the mood of each map), looping versions of every track (for seamless repetition), alternate versions (gentle versions of loud songs, and vice versa), and long-form ambient soundscapes, perfect for setting the scene in a sky city, a forgotten temple, or wherever else your adventure may take you. If you’re a Foundry VTT user or a big fan of animated maps, check out the Countryside Carouser tier, where you can download ready-made modules complete with the maps (including animated versions!), walls, dynamic lighting, and the music cued up and ready to go.
