Christmas Cut File 2 of 25 - Books Layout by Nicole Santos

Tuesday, December 2, 2025

Hello friends! Nicole Santos here today sharing a festive and fun layout featuring the Books from Paige's new bundle of 25 Christmas Cut Files 2025 and her Very Merry Christmas collection! As soon as I saw this design, I knew it would be perfect for documenting something a little different this holiday season - one of the books on my Christmas wish list.
I backed the Books cut file with bright and cheerful patterns from the Very Merry Christmas papers which brought this tree of stacked books to life so beautifully. The mix of reds, greens, and playful holiday icons adds the perfect amount of Christmas magic without overwhelming the page. I hope this page inspires you to check out Paige’s Books from her bundle of 25 Christmas Cut Files 2025 and her Very Merry Christmas collection!

Christmas Cut File 1 of 25 - Wreath Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Monday, December 1, 2025

Hello friends and happy December! Audrey Mutschall here with my first Christmas layout of the season featuring Paige’s Wreath from her new bundle of 25 Christmas Cut Files 2025 and her Very Merry Christmas collection.
I started by cutting the Wreath from white cardstock and backed it with a variety of patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pack and the 6x8 Paper Pad. When all of the flowers and leaves were backed, I chose a pale purple cardstock to place behind the wreath and adhered it with foam tape for extra dimension. Next I cut a circle of the Warmth and Wonder Paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and placed it in the center of the wreath. I fussy cut two ornaments from the Stories of the Season Paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and hung them in the wreath using embroidery floss. Next I matted my photo with the Festive and Fun Paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and placed it on the left side of the wreath. I added a Chipboard Title above my photo and a journaling tag from the Tags Ephemera Die Cuts below it. Lastly, I embellished with fussy cut bows from the Feels Like Christmas Paper and sprinkled Enamel Shapes around the wreath. I hope this provides some ideas for Paige’s Wreath from her bundle of 25 Christmas Cut Files 2025 and her Very Merry Christmas collection!

November 2025 Highlights

Here's what we were up to in November 2025!
The first day of November we took down Halloween and put up Thanksgiving decor.
Throughout the month we also started decking the halls with boughs of holly, falalalalalala.
I tried two new energy drinks and both are delish.
We started watching the Holiday Baking Championship and Sweet Empire Winter Wars. Jane actually asks to watch the new episodes every Tuesday and I love it.
I pulled Fox out of school to take him to get his driver's permit. Ahhhhhh so scary and exciting!
Funny story, one morning I picked Fox up from seminary and we were listening to Christmas songs through the Amazon app on my phone. It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Michael Bublé was playing. Then Fox asked, "Isn't KOSI 101.1 playing Christmas music now?" I said yeah, but it's always commercials in the morning. I switched to the radio anyway and what was playing??
It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas by Michael Bublé. What are the chances?!
Me throughout the month. Next month on December 13th will mark 1 year of exercising and being mindful of what I eat.
Poor Phoebe. She's our Netherland Dwarf bunny that we got as a little baby way back in October 2017 when we lived in Dupont, WA. That makes her over 8 years old. The lifespan for this breed of bunny is 7-14 years so we'll take every day we can get with her at this point. In October she started eating noticeably less so on November 5th I booked her an appointment at Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital thinking, since they've got Small Animal Hospital in their name and they see bunnies, they'd be able to help her out, right??? Is that a crazy train of thought?!? They felt her belly, took her temp, checked her heart - all looked good. They checked her teeth and said they were very overgrown and need to be trimmed but THEY DON'T DO THAT THERE! What the?? How can they be a small animal hospital and not do procedures like that? They charged me $200 and gave me other vet recommendations. That was visit #1 to vet #1.
I went home, called vet #2, got an appointment for later that same day, and drove a half hour out to Aurora Animal Hospital. They poked around and came to the same conclusion that her teeth need to be trimmed, charged me over $200 plus a $350 deposit for the procedure, gave me some pain meds to administer to Phoebe daily, and booked her 3rd appointment for the procedure for November 11th. On the 11th Chris dropped Phoebe off for visit #4 to get her teeth trimmed and I picked her up later that day and paid the remaining fees. On Friday November 21st she still wasn't eating and peed blood so I drove her all the way back to vet #2 for visit #5 and they charged me as if she were a new patient and took a super expensive xray of her belly and LITERALLY COULDN'T INTERPRET IT AND TOLD ME TO GO TO ANOTHER VET!!!! I was fuming. But anything for our Phoebe. Chris booked an appointment at vet #3 and visit #6 at Vida Veterinary Care in a pretty sketchy part of Denver for Monday November 24th. They took their own xrays, drew blood, and charged us a crazy amount. Again, we'll do anything for our pets, I don't care about the cost, I do care that nobody can figure out what's wrong. Not only that, but they told us to bring her back the next day for an ultrasound. So on Tuesday November 22nd I was at the third vet for 3.5 hours for Phoebe's 7th visit and another $1000 later for an ultrasound that revealed she has "cystic endometrial hyperplasia, indicating age-related changes in Phoebe's uterus without signs of infection, pyometra, or cancer. It was noted that Phoebe's gut appeared slow-moving but without obstruction or severe issues." The solution? Just keep an eye on her and hope it gets better. As of November 30th, she's still only eating a little and not back to her normal self. I'm just really upset. I hope she continues to improve. Were her teeth not even the problem? Was it her uterus this whole time? They don't recommend getting her spayed at this point, but I am leaning towards that if it will fix her poor belly. Sigh.
We went to the Denver Cat Fest. They had 180 vendors, a cat show, adoptions, celebrity cats, and lots of things cat to see and experience.
They expected 4.5K visitors and ended up with 7K plus. It was packed with crazy cat ladies, myself included.
I read that over 200 cats were adopted. I wish we could get more cats but I don't think Amy & Sandy would like that very much.
I follow a local breeder of British Shorthair cats called Rejinald Cattery and asked to pet this furry guy but she said no, which I understand, he was snoozing. But I am really interested in getting one eventually.
Kevin's chicken meals never get old.
On Tuesday November 22nd my parents drove 15 hours all the way from Spokane, WA to spend Thanksgiving with us. The next morning we went to Chris' office so my mom could get a scan of her bottom teeth for a new retainer.
Then we drove to Park Meadows Mall to do a bit of shopping. My sister has worked at Anthropologie for like 12 years and we get to use her discount - thanks Allie!
Stranger Things merch at Hot Topic.
My dad LOOOOVES shopping ;)
How fun is this coat?! I don't think it's actually for sale.
Jane inadvertently gave herself reindeer ears.
So at the next display Fox had antlers.
The first four episodes of Stranger Things 5 released! We got to watch about 15 minutes of the first episode before heading out to dinner. We did watch all 4 episodes in 3 days though. I love how it ended for now. GO WILL! Can't wait for the next installment on Christmas.
My parents had never been to Casa Bonita and we were lucky to get reservations this time of year.
First take.
Much better.
The food is actually so yummy now!
A newish Thanksgiving morning tradition to me is watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Throughout the day we watched various football games, cooked (when I say "we" cooked I mean "Chris" cooked) set the table, took naps, and chatted.
Chris made ham, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, and of course, turkey.
Jay & Haylie and their kids Landon, Quinn & Kylie came over for Thanksgiving and Haylie brought sweet potato casserole, chocolate pretzel pie, and cherry pie. Everything was soooo yummy!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving 2025.
The next morning we woke up early and drove 2 hours down past Colorado Springs to ride the Royal Gorge Train. My dad really likes trains.
How cute is this Christmas snail plushie?!
I love all the Christmas decor.
All aboard!
There are a lot of prisons in this area, including the supermax in Florence. It is the only federal supermax prison in the United States and holds inmates considered the most dangerous or who pose a significant security risk to other facilities. The 9/11 terrorists, Boston bombers, and more are there - find the full list HERE.
Anyway! We ordered breakfast which was yummy.
I spy 5 great horned sheep.
Views from inside our train car.
It got warmer outside so we walked through a few cars to get to the open air one.
That's a very tall suspension bridge.
You can also take a cable car and zipline across the gorge. I'd maaaaybe do those things if I was feeling brave.
Our family on the Royal Gorge Train on Friday November 28th 2025.
My dad and I stayed outside on the ride back and learned all sorts of facts from an employee.
My dad has visited us in Colorado 3 times and all 3 times we've been on a different train. He says there are even more trains for his next visits, can't wait.
On the way home we stopped to take a photo at Estes Rockets. My dad is interested in a lot of different things.
The next morning, Saturday November 29th, we woke up to the first snow of the season. Finally! I feel like it has snowed before Halloween every year we've lived here so this has been quite unusual to have such a late snow.
Not that I'm in a rush for snow & cold weather lol. But it does make for pretty pics!
We watched Champaign Problems which was adorable, Mistletoe Mixup (I thought it was cuter than Chris did), the Ballard series (FANTASTIC!), the final season of Bosch Legacy (really good), Harlan Coban's Lazarus show (okay), and saw Now You See Me Now You Don't in theaters (it was alright, a one and done for me).
We commissioned Kamron Coleman to create a floral painting for above our bed and it turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined.
Kamron is taking requests if you're interested in an original painting - art is always a good idea for a Christmas gift!
I have to give an update about our Broncos! This is a fun stat:
Too funny.
Who dat at NO. 1?!?! GO BRONCOS!!!

Those 2 games we've lost? Both by field goals and one the opposing team doinked it but we got a penalty I've never seen before and so the other team got a 2nd chance 10 or 15 yards closer and made it. So totally ridiculous. Anyhoo.
So true - we beat the Chiefs, the Refs, AND the announcers!
Interesting...
My face during most of the games. Such nail biters!

Kitties! Kitties! Kitties! (We always chant that when we're driving home from a vacation.)
As per usual, they followed me around all month as I worked on various tasks. When my parents were visiting they brought their dog Gypsy and Sandy & Amy were in lock step with their thoughts on the matter.
Their hiding spots while Gypsy was afoot.
Amy is so cute she could and should be on a Christmas card.
Sandy is always in the mix and should also be on a Christmas card. I'm not biased at all.
Sandy doesn't have a singular "spot". It's wherever she feels like it at the moment.

Onto all things scrappy!
Throughout November I shared (8) 12x12 layouts and a thankful-themed micro sequin album. Click on the links to take you to each post for all the details and to read more about these projects:
When I started working in-house as a scrapbooker and designer at American Crafts way back in January 2008, Jennifer Simmons was one of the designers already well established there. She moved to Colorado and continued working on Crate Paper collections and other lines from home up until a few years ago. Coincidentally we ended up moving just about a mile away from her! She reached out to me and said she was finally ready to let go of all her scrapbook collections and I jumped right on that offer to scoop them up. I'm so excited to go through all of these vintage American Crafts and Crate Paper collections.
I started working on my Window Sequin Album with the Hard Candy Christmas collection on September 15th and released it 60 days later on November 14th.
After traveling and teaching so much in September and October I was finally able to really sit down and crank out this class at the beginning of November.
All done!!
Collating the pretty ribbons, trims, threads & jingle bells.
Taking photos of the kit.
Prepping to make the kits.
Kitting day!
All the kits boxed up and ready to be shipped out.
I released the kit & class to my first-to-know list and PaigePals at 7pm on Friday November 14th and they were all sold out in 27 minutes. That has never happened to me before and Chris can attest to the fact that I was literally crying happy tears. I love scrapbooking sooooo very much and am so grateful and thankful for the support of others who love it too! This just means more kits & classes are on the horizon!
The virtual class is still available HERE and I have more window sequin albums on the way!
The next day I started working on filling up another Gi DeMello collaboration - this time a thankful-themed micro sequin album.  I will have more of these albums in January when Gi gets back from vacation.
I decided to teach how to how I filled it live in a Make With Me Monday.
You can watch the replay HERE
On Sunday November 16th I taught my Christmas layouts virtual class for Scrap & Learn Festive Edition.
Screenshots from teaching.
Now I'm currently working on the world's cutest Ugly Sweater Sequin Album Kit & Class using my Very Merry Christmas collection with Pinkfresh Studio. Gi DeMello made this album as well and I'm loving filling it up.

You can follow along with sneaks of the process in my saved instagram highlight HERE.
Leave a comment with your email address or email me to get on the 1st-to-know list for when this kit is ready!
