Assistant Security Manager

Job Title: Assistant Security Manager

The Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager in overseeing all security operations at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl Theater. This includes ensuring a safe environment for patrons, clients, and staff, assisting with scheduling, training, incident response, and facility inspections, while collaborating with the Security Manager and the Security Coordinator to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for a motivated and diverse candidate who is eager to work both in event security and building security operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Security Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising security personnel and activities.
  • Support scheduling with Security Coordinator and building security/event security guards, monitors, and dispatch staff for day-to-day operations, events, and call-offs.
  • Collaborate with the Security Manager to ensure adequate staffing for all events and operational needs.
  • Work directly with clients, advancing and implementing all their security requirements.
  • Respond to and resolve disturbances, complaints, or security concerns, including escorting disruptive individuals off the premises as necessary.
  • Conduct facility tours to inspect doors, windows, gates, and fire alarm systems, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Work directly with police, K9, fire, EMS, Governor’s Executive detail, and other security personnel and/or safety organizations.
  • Help manage and maintain the building’s Security control center, including oversight of dispatch operations and coordination during concerts and events.
  • Have a strong understanding of in-house dispatching software and ensure it is used effectively during all building operations.
  • Ensure that the fire alarm control panel, security access, and camera systems are updated, functioning properly, and compliant with standards.
  • Oversee the fire alarm system and do all training of the fire alarm system.
  • Investigate incidents, write detailed reports, and meet with the Security Manager to review procedures.
  • Develop and coordinate training programs for part-time employees, enhancing awareness of safety, security policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with all department leads on trainings and ensure communication is clear during all training activity in the building.
  • Meet with building security and event security leads at least four times per year to assess performance, review processes, and improve team communication.
  • Assist in crowd control, emergency responses, and unusual situations such as fires, storms, or riots.
  • Oversee dock security, maintain shipping and receiving documentation, and track equipment and key inventory.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new policies and regulations created by ASM Global for security and compliance purposes.
  • Rotate with other facility managers to function as Manager on Duty (MOD) during events, assuming responsibility and authority over all clients, staff personnel, patrons, security and safety. 
  • Work extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Prepare payroll, maintain records, and compile call off reports for management weekly.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Strong knowledge of security operations and challenges in major sports and entertainment venues.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations, make sound decisions, and take immediate action.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment—must be comfortable handling digital paperwork, scheduling tools, and documentation systems.
  • Physical capability to patrol the facility extensively including all stairwells, lift up to 50 lbs., and operate light machinery.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail in following instructions and procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance for operating motor vehicles in the U.S.
  • Assist with ongoing event needs and expect changes.
  • Work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy workload, which can present stressful situations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisor role is required.

WORK HOURS

Responsible for – operating the concession stand in accordance with ASM’s policies and procedures and is responsible for providing a quality product to patrons in a courteous, friendly, and efficient manner and utilizing our Guest Service Standards and Responsible Alcohol Service in all transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follows Concession Manager/Supervisor’s assignments for opening procedures and food preparation.
  • Prepares food and beverage items using proper procedures and sanitation guidelines.
  • Is cost conscious, does not over-portion and records all waste.
  • Keeps work area and equipment neat and clean.
  • Properly cleans equipment and follows the Concession Manager/Supervisor’s closing instructions.

  • Properly prepares, measures, and portions all food items in a timely manner. 
  • Complies with all quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilizes and sets up kitchen equipment to prepare food items.
  • Packages all products to proper specifications.
  • Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed.

Event Security

SUMMARY

  • ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Event Security for ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Event Security report to the Security Manager and is responsible for patrolling all areas of arena property and parking lots, securing doors, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees, and contract labor while on premises, and securing property during move in/out of trade shows, conventions, or events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stand guard during events.  Tour post periodically to ensure safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on premises.
  • Handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events at the facility.  If necessary, and in conjunction with local law enforcement, escort disruptive individuals off the premises.
  • Report incidents to supervisor so incident report can be written.
  • Inspect premises for signs of intrusion or tampering.
  • Tour facility, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure that they are secure.
  • Assist with crowd control inside and outside of arena.
  • Assist in the control of unusual circumstances and events during fire, storms, riots, and other emergencies.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations-answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
  • Act in a professional manner with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Ensure that every client, patron, and vendor receive the best services possible.

Operations Crew Member

  • Operations Crew members are responsible for converting for various events including installation and removal of the basketball floor, retractable seating, stages, moving furniture and various other duties at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl Theater. This physically demanding position requires a candidate to be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, working in both indoor and outdoor environments including inclement weather, and having availability to work a flexible schedule revolving around the event calendar as needed which includes daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a great part-time year-round opportunity where work hours are event driven.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events including setting up and tearing down flooring, concerts, retractable and portable seating, stage barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings, and equipment.
  • Perform various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met including, but not limited to equipment maintenance, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas and snow removal.
  • Perform work in indoor and outdoor environments subject to heat and inclement weather.
  • Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to Operations Supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

  • ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Cook position with ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena.  The Cook is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef by maintaining the highest level of food quality, presentation and timing. This position also assists in preparing for the day to day operations of the kitchen.  Serves meals by reviewing recipes; assembling, combining and cooking ingredients; in addition to, maintaining a sanitary kitchen. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
  • Prep ingredients for cooking (chopping, peeling vegetables, cutting meats, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of food ingredients
  • Have a basic understanding of how to read and execute a recipe
  • Making precise measurements
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly with receive dates
  • Proper handling of raw and/or prepared foods and non-food supplies
  • Testing the temperature of food and knowledge of proper cooking temperatures
  • Distribute and store clean pots, dishes and utensils
  • Washing dishes and taking out trash

Summary

The Building Engineering Worker works with the Engineering Manager to ensure all building equipment is in proper working order, and assists the Operations department with other assigned tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring proper operation of all building equipment 
  • Perform routine maintenance including but not limited to: HVAC/Mechanical/Plumbing systems, minor electrical, exhaust fans/motors, lighting systems, etc.
  • Minor repairs of kitchen and food service equipment
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance of building systems
  • Ability to learn and manage building automation system
  • Minor vehicle repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Research of supplies/parts and materials and inventory control of stock items
  • Upkeep and maintenance of building equipment with coordination of Engineering Manager.
  • Assist and facilitate maintenance of wall and surface finishes to include drywall and  masonry / painted and applied finishes

Summary

  • ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Bartender for ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl. Bartenders prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to customers at designated locations at Pinnacle Bank Arena and Pinewood Bowl.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mixing drinks to order and serving customers
  • Responsible for having knowledge of all bar drinks and wines
  • Must have good customer service skills  
  • Must follow all SMG/SAVOR policies and procedures
  • Maintain valid food handlers and alcoholic beverage server permits required by the Department of Health
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Adhere to Universal Service Standards of proper grooming and appearance
  • Accurately count change and balance bank
  • Effective communication skills; Communicate with guests and receive orders
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Catering Attendant

POSITION: Catering Attendant  
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage
REPORTS TO: Catering & Premium Services Manager
FLSA STATUS: PT Hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary

  • ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the General Manager for ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena.  The Catering Attendant oversees all catering functions to ensure that the assigned events and activities are organized and executed resulting in the complete satisfaction of the guests attending the event. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all banquet equipment.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service.
  • Ensures all signage is properly displayed for each event
  • Fulfill the service per each Banquet Event Orders (BEO), as well as Catering Department Service Standards.
  • Must adhere to the SMG dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Communicate effectively with management, staff, and clients.
  • Organized, able to prioritize, and have strong time-management skills.
  • Positive and able to motivate staff to offer hospitality service which exceeds guests’ expectations.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as well as spur of the moment events.
  • Able to work independently, as well as a team player.
  • Able to be creative with buffet presentations and maintain a quality product.
  • Maintain valid food handlers and alcoholic beverage server permits required by Department of Health.

Suite Attendant 

POSITION: Suite Attendant      
DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage     
REPORTS TO: Catering & Premium Services Manager
FLSA STATUS: Part-time Hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary

  • ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Suite Attendant for ASM Global/Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Suites Attendant maintains organization and cleanliness of suites and assists guests in accordance with ASM’s Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pre-event suite set-up including chafing dishes, plates and silverware, televisions, lighting and overall ambiance in the suite 
  • Verify and set-up all pre-event orders 
  • Identify suite host and properly introduce yourself 
  • Take and place event day food and beverage orders 
  • Set-up and check on event day food and beverage orders and serve guests until the end of the event
  • Replenish food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed 
  • Maintain standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite throughout the event 
  • Obtain signatures from the host on charges in a timely manner 
  • Clear all items from the suite and clean all surfaces and chafing dishes in suite 
  • Reset suite for next function, complete closing functions and check out with supervisor or manager
  • Must adhere to the ASM dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoes
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications 

  • Ideal Candidates must have strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor. They must be self-motivated and be able to stand for long periods of times.  Candidate must be personable and guest service driven.

  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training 
  • Knowledgeable in the operating food service equipment, basic food preparatory techniques, sanitation and safety issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and to prepare event plans
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead
  • Highly motivated, ability to take initiative, effectively work with others and work in a fast-paced environment
