Traditional elevation

We call this the Minimal Indian House - ‘Minimal’, as there is no ostentation or decoration of any kind. Minimalist house design with traditional Indian elements, where the building elements like walls, floors, roof reveals, themselves as it is - walls are in stabilised mud blocks (Smb). Floor is natural Kota and the ceiling are filler slab roofing and the staircase treads are in Fossil Jaisalmer.

A plot of 2400 sq.ft. Is designed into a residence for a family of 4 people. "The Terracotta Screen House's" bungalow design has a modernistic approach, embellished with traditional elements.

abraham john architects' chhavi house was driven by the site's extreme climate, the required small footprint, and a large project brief.

This project involved renovation of a 20 year old house, a quaint and simplistic design approach along with fringes of traditional materials and an inviting facade design.
