June 14th, 1801 - Benedict Arnold, Revolutionary War general, dies in London, died at 60. Arnold's health began to decline. Gout, from which he had suffered since 1775, attacked his unwounded leg to the point where he was unable to go to sea; the other leg ached constantly, and he walked only with a cane. He died after four days of delirium in 1801.
