Safety trick to help secure beach umbrellas on a windy day. Fill a plastic grocery bag with sand, loop a bungee cord through the bag handles. Wrap the bungee up the umbrella to create tension. Add second bungee if need. Then loop the bungee around the top spokes near the pole and hook the bungee hooks together.
