What would a bug-themed week be without our favorite buzzing friends- the bumble bees?! I started our week with some hands-on bumble bee activities I knew the kids would go crazy over. Sure enough, I was right and these two buzz-worthy sensory activities had my little learners so engaged.

Gross motor color recognition game - an active way to learn colors. Materials and Set-Up: Using Chalk, draw a variety of different colored flowers on the ground (more than one of each color). Have the kids start off of the flowers. Once you call out a color, kids must run (or any gross motor movement) to find a flower of that color (more than one child per flower is okay).
