I used pine 1x6s to make this doorway look like its framed in wood beams. The edges were cut at 45s. I used an abrasive disk on a dremel to round the edges and a wire wheel on a grinder to make saw marks. I used a coat of minwax white wash and then a coat of minwax golden oak stain to get the color.
