The original organ at St. Peter's Cathedral was created in 1665 and has been updated over the years until in 2013 much of the pipes and workings were removed for a £1 million restoration. The organ was restored in October 2014 and ready for Christmas services. Not a great photo, as it's dark in there and I took this without a tripod, in a hurry, while on a tour of the cathedral's roof. I'm maybe 20-40 feet up. The tour guide took us out on a flat lead roof. He opened up a beautiful little stained-glass window that revealed this view. Magical! I had little idea of what we'd see through the window.
