Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters by Paul Schrader has stylistic elements that have been influential in the process of making TST. Namely the Art segment which utilises the colour pink in a large amount of the production design. This colour choice corresponds with the films themes of superficiality and physical idealism more than anything else. However in Film-Buff's segment of my film the colour pink is a more subtle tint over the whole image and links less with superficiality.
