Library at the Château d’Ussé. The castle has been privately owned for generations by the family of Blacas d'Aulps. It is said to have been the inspiration for the castle featured in Perrault’s 17th-century French fairy tale La Belle au Bois Dormant (‘Sleeping Beauty’). The library was designed by French sculptor Felicie de Fauveau. His work, which prefigures the Pre-Raphaelite movement, had a great influence on romantic authors as Alfred de Musset and Alexandre Dumas.
