It’s important that the spine can move in all directions and that there is plenty of strength in the muscles surrounding the spine.

If this area of the spine doesn’t have enough strength or mobility, that can lead to pain in this area or in the areas above and below.

Here are a few exercises that you can try to start increasing mobility in the thoracic spine!
