I even considered doing it in pencil, to make sure I wouldn’t risk ruining the rest of the piece.  But then I tried it out on a spare sheet of paper, and it looked promising. It was going to take a long time, for sure, but it wasn’t impossible. So I did it, slowly and carefully, and it worked! Now I do it all the time, so much more confidently. So what I’m getting at is that problem-solving will sometimes look a bit mad, a bit questionable, even to yourself. But give it a try anyway. The biggest challenge is not the work itself, it is overcoming the fear that it might not work.
