Each classroom had their own tournaments to send "representatives" to the real tournament. 2. 32 total students from the grade level went to the overall challenge. 3. During March Madness room transformations are an easy way to boost student engagement in the classroom! I did a basketball themed math review to prepare for our state standardized test. The whole group review was displayed on my SmartBoard and students answered each question on their dry erase boards. After each question, students from the "home team" and the "away team" were able to shoot mini basketballs into the hoops on the "court" in the middle of my classroom.
