This recipe is very similar to my other creamy garlic noodle recipe that went viral on social media. Similar to that recipe, this is heavily inspired by the classic Chinese dish (You Po Mian) and the role of oil in the dish really brings out the aromatic flavour of garlic and spring onion. Ingredients
8.8 oz udon noodles (250g)
1 1/2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 teaspoon gochujang Korean chili paste
1/3 cup finely chopped spring onions plus extra for garnish
1/3 cup finely chopped fresh basil
1/3 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon sesame seeds plus extra for garnish
1 tablespoon chili flakes
Small piece of ginger grated (about 1 teaspoon)
1 garlic clove grated
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1/2 lime Juice of lime
1 tablespoon sugar optional, but recommended

The gochujang adds sweetness and spice, the peanut butter adds creaminess and mushrooms and soy sauce add the perfect amount of umami, and combined, OMG. Ingredients:
1 packet of biang biang noodles (Sainsbury’s)
1 large spring onion, finely slice (save 1/4 for garnish)
1 tbsp white sesame seeds 
1 tbsp red pepper flakes 
3 cloves of garlic, minced 
1 tsp ginger, grated 
1 tsp white sugar 
1 tbsp sesame oil 
1 tsp rice wine vinegar 
45ml neutral oil, heated until smoking 
1 tbsp gochujang 

Method: 
1. Add everything to a bowl minus the gochujang and neutral oil. 
2. Cook noodles according to packet instructions. 
3. Heat up your neutral oil until it is smoking hot.

INGREDIENTS:
1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger, minced
1 tbsp sesame seeds
A small handful of chopped coriander
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp gochujang
1 tsp peanut butter
1 tbsp soya sauce
1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar

METHOD:
1. In a bowl add the garlic, ginger, sesame seeds and coriander
2. Heat the oil in a pan and once hot add to the bowl 
3. Add the gochujang, peanut butter, soya sauce and rice wine vinegar
4. Meanwhile cook your udon and add it to the bowl once cooked
5. Mix well and enjoy!
