Persian dance is among one of the most diverse that I've ever experienced. The dancing is made up of numerous different styles; bandari, baba karam, qasemabadi, kordi, and many more. Each style is unique from the rest, with different traditional outfits for each dance. Unlike Persian dance, which is encouraged in both sexes, Islamic dancing has gender based rulings. Dance is allowed for women, but only in a female environment, and is prohibited for men, unless for means of worship.
