Plaster Doily Bowl DIY

Welcome to this month's DIY Challenge, hosted by Terrie @Decorate and More with TipIn case you don't know about this DIY Challenge, on the 1st Wednesday of each month, a group of talented bloggers create something based on a theme or material that's selected by Terri! This month Terri is raising the bar with a Plaster or Concrete theme! I had made a couple of plaster cloth projects - here and here. So I thought this theme would be somewhat simple.
But after starting what I thought would be an easy plaster bowl - my first one was a complete fail! I couldn't get the plaster bowl out of the mold! It was metal! Silly me! So I looked around in my stash and saw an old doily I had gotten from Michaels a few years ago. I knew I wouldn't have a problem making a plaster doily bowl! After all, there are so many ways to stiffen and shape a doily into a bowl! And they all seemed quite easy - including using plaster!
