Chris Lorenzo
Chris Lorenzo is a British DJ and producer specializing in rowdy, bass-heavy house of several different stripes. He is part of the duos Anti Up (with Chris Lake) and Fly with Us (with AC Slater), and has worked with Hannah Wants, DJ Zinc, the Streets, and others. During the 2010s, he issued the albums Destroy the Image (2016) and Late Checkout (2019), and scored club hits like "Rhymes" (with Hannah Wants) and "Gammy Elbow" (with DJ Zinc). 2021 saw two of his most heavily played tracks, "California Dreamin'" (with High Jinx) and a remix of "In da Getto" by J Balvin and Skrillex. He then played the main stage at EDC Vegas in addition to appearing at other major festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. He's since released collaborations with Laidback Luke, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Audio Bullys.Born in Birmingham, Chris Lorenzo first made an impact with several collaborations with Hannah Wants, including 2013's "What I Want" and "Kneadin'" (the latter was released by Dirtybird), establishing a bass-heavy blend of tech-house and U.K. garage influences. The two also teamed up for 2014's Daft Punk-sampling "Rhymes." Lorenzo began working with Chris Lake on singles like 2015's "Piano Hand" and "The Calling." Lorenzo's self-issued debut album, Destroy the Image, arrived in 2016 and included collaborations with DJ Zinc, Sonny Fodera; Katy B. Zinc and Lorenzo also co-produced the club hit "Gammy Elbow." Lorenzo issued "Dope Slinger" with AC Slater, another regular collaborator, in 2017. Lorenzo and Lake formed Anti Up in 2018, debuting with the cheeky single "Pizza" (Ministry of Sound) and the EP Hey Pablo. As the project developed, Lorenzo issued his second album, 2019's Late Checkout, which included a track with the Streets titled "Take Me as I Am." He continued working with Zinc for 2019's Deeper EP and 2021's "Full of Love." Lorenzo and AC Slater released a single titled "Fly with Us," and additionally formed a duo of the same name. Lorenzo scored one of his biggest hits with "California Dreamin'," essentially a stripped-down remix of High Jinx's 1997 dance cover of the Mamas & the Papas' tune. Lorenzo also released a remix of J Balvin and Skrillex's "In da Getto," which was one of the most heavily played remixes of the year. Lorenzo continued his momentum with the 2022 single "Mami" (with Cobrah), as well as several major festival appearances. "Pump," "Bongos" (with Crazy Cousinz and Calista Kazuko), and the first two Fly with Us singles, "Shrine Banger" and "Seismic," all appeared in 2023. "Bota Bota" (with MC Buzzz) was released in 2024. Lorenzo also released tracks with Laidback Luke ("Break the House Down") and Amyl and the Sniffers ("U Should Not Be Doing That"). In 2025, Lorenzo issued "Appetite" and "London's on Fire" (with Max Styler and Audio Bullys).
