The Castellows

Making a version of modern country-pop with a neo-traditional bent, sibling trio the Castellows further warm their themes of southern life with three-part vocal harmonies. They made their major-label debut in 2024 with the EP A Little Goes a Long Way, featuring the standout "I Know It'll Never End." Collaborations with Wyatt Flores and Flatland Cavalry followed ahead of the group's follow-up EP, 2025's Homecoming. A sister act consisting of two triplets (their brother isn't in the group) and their younger sister, the Castellows hail from the rural Georgia-Alabama border town of Georgetown, Georgia. Although they're all multi-instrumentalists and sing, the youngest, Lilian "Lily" Balkcom, sings lead, Eleanor "Ellie" Balkcom plays guitar, and Powell Balkcom plays banjo. They drew the interest of labels by collecting over a million followers on social media with a series of covers spanning songs made famous by the Animals, Ed Sheeran, and Jason Isbell. To launch the Castellows in earnest, they relocated to Nashville, took their moniker from their great-grandmother’s maiden name, and spent much of 2023 writing and recording material for a debut album. Signing with Warner Records, they delivered their first single, "No. 7 Road," in October of that year. Along with follow-up tracks "Hurricane" and the CMT Award-nominated "I Know It'll Never End," it appeared on the Castellows' debut EP, A Little Goes a Long Way, in February 2024. Their output for the remainder of that year remained steady with stand-alone singles like "Miss America," "Alabama Stone," and the Wyatt Flores collaboration "Sober Sundays." They kicked of 2025 with another collaboration, "Place They Call Home," featuring Flatland Cavalry, a song that later appeared on the trio's second EP, Homecoming, released in May.
