Finn Askew

Genre-blending U.K. singer and songwriter Finn Askew is recognized for his giddy, R&B-tinged bedroom pop sound and ruminations on everyday life. He broke through as a teen with an angsty featured spot on the Lost Kings track "Feather" in 2019. A year later, he collected millions of streams again with his own, home-recorded "Roses." It appeared on his debut EP, Peach, in 2021. He released a second EP, Tokyo, before the end of the year, then focused on singles over the next few years, including 2025's "Vows," a collaboration with Ezra Skys.Growing up in Somerset, England, Askew briefly took guitar lessons but preferred learning through trial and error on his own. In an isolated community without much in the way of venues, when he began writing songs as a preteen, he posted some of them on social media, along with various covers. Also competing in area youth music competitions, he slowly gained a following over the next several years and started performing at open mikes in London. Incorporating influence from alt-R&B, indie rock, pop, emo-rap, and more into his songs, by his late teens, he began hearing from record labels. Askew was the featured vocalist on Lost Kings' "Feather" in 2019, and in 2020, Polydor released his label debut, "Roses," a song he had recorded at home on GarageBand with "my £20 microphone" when he was 16. As a 19-year-old, the track was included on his debut EP, Peach, released on Polydor in early 2021. He followed it with another EP, Tokyo, late in the year.Askew moved to Elektra for a steady stream of singles over the next several years, including 2023's "Perfect Color" and the 2024 slow jam "Christmas Song." "Vows," a 2025 collaboration with Ezra Skys, was issued on Mimi Blue Records.
