Gilli

Gilli is a Danish hip-hop artist who has achieved mainstream success with singles such as "C'est la Vie", "Langsom", "Tranquillo" and "Verden Vender", all of which topped the Danish charts. In addition to his acclaimed solo career, Gilli also works with Kesi, Noah Carter and Benny Jamz as part of the hip-hop crew B.O.C. as well as with Stepz, Branco and Benny Jamz in MOLO. Born Kian Rosenberg Larsson in Rødovre on June 27, 1992, Gilli began to attract attention at the age of 20 with the release of his single "Små børn", which reached number 34 in the charts in Denmark. More singles, including collaborations with Kimbo and Murro, followed, but 2014 was the year Gilli really gained momentum. This was the year he ventured into acting, playing the lead role in director Fenar Ahmad's film Ækte vare about a Dane trying to escape poverty through rap. An EP with music from the film, including collaborations with MellemFingaMuzik, KESI and Højer Øye, made it to number 8 in Denmark. A year later, "C'est la Vie" was Gilli's first single to storm the charts - a feat he would repeat several times over the years. His debut album Kiko from 2020 and the follow-up Euro Connection also reached No. 1. After the release of Euro Connection, Gilli remained at the top of the charts with the No. 1 singles "L.U.V." and "Snik Snak", both released in 2020. He returned to number 1 again with his first single of 2021, "Kærlighed", followed by the collaborative album Mere End Musik with Benny Jamz, KESI and some members of B.O.C, released later that year. Carnival, his third album in a row to debut at No. 1 in Denmark, was released in 2022 and managed to place six singles in a row in the domestic Top 10, including "Baianá", "Peligrosa" and "Kender Ik' I Morgen". With Suave World (2022), Kiko Club (2023) and Kenny (2024, together with Benny Jamz), Gilli achieved three more number 1 albums in Denmark. The singles "Verden vågner" (2022, together with Saveus), "Skarpt lys" (2023) and "555" also reached the top of the Danish singles charts.
