Jamie Jones

Internationally renowned DJ Jamie Jones produces groove-heavy tech-house that draws from funk, R&B, disco, and electro. Don't You Remember the Future, his 2009 debut album, helped establish Jones as a major name in clubland, and he became a festival regular, Ibiza resident, and frequent presence in annual DJ polls. Along with Lee Foss, he co-founded the Hot Creations label and the band Hot Natured, who scored a Top 40 U.K. hit with the 2012 single "Benediction." Collaborations with artists including Kate Simko, Erick Morillo, and the Martinez Brothers have followed, and Jones released "Butterflies" with Chicago house legend Green Velvet in 2025.Originally from Wales, Jamie Jones frequented clubs and warehouse raves in London during the 2000s, and he began putting on his own parties while building up his recording studio. He released his first tracks on the Freak n' Chic and Crosstown Rebels labels in 2006, establishing a minimal tech-house sound. Jones' first mix CD, Get Lost 02, appeared on Crosstown Rebels in 2007. Incorporating more of a funk influence, his Prince-like single "Summertime" (featuring Ost & Kjex) became a festival anthem when it appeared in 2009, and his ambitious full-length debut, Don't You Remember the Future, featured a collaboration with electro pioneer Egyptian Lover. The same year, Jones founded Hot Natured with producer Lee Foss, and the two additionally launched Hot Creations in 2010. Jones' Fabric 59 mix appeared in 2011, and he topped Resident Advisor's annual DJ poll that year. Crosstown Rebels issued Tracks from the Crypt: Lost Classics from the Vaults 2007-2012, which included collaborations with Art Department, Surveillance Party, and Luca C. Hot Natured broke through with the 2012 single "Benediction," which reached the Top 40 in the U.K. The song featured Ali Love and Luca C of Infinity Ink, who both joined Hot Natured, and the group released the full-length Different Sides of the Sun through FFRR and Warner Bros. in 2013. Anabel Englund, Egyptian Lover, and Róisin Murphy also appeared on the album. Though Hot Natured continued to release the occasional single, Jones concentrated on solo material as well as events such as his popular Paradise party at Ibiza's DC10, and Paradise in the Park series in Los Angeles. Jones collaborated with Kate Simko's London Electronic Orchestra and Jem Cooke for the 2015 single "One Time Game." Jones and Simko performed an orchestral concert at London's Barbican Centre in 2018, and Jones began a Las Vegas residency the same year. He continued issuing solo EPs as well as collaborations with Darius Syrossian, the Martinez Brothers, Alan Fitzpatrick, Nicole Moudaber, and others. After Paradise moved to another major Ibiza club, Amnesia, Jones released the anthemic "My Paradise" on Defected in 2022. "Lose My Mind," also a big club hit, appeared on Helix Records in 2023, and Jones collaborated with Channel Tres for the song "Got Time for Me" and Kah-Lo on "Fine Fine Baby." "We Groovin" (with Jazzy) and "La Musa" (with Miluhska) were released in 2024. "Butterflies," a collaboration with Green Velvet, arrived in 2025.
