Lyn Lapid

Lyn Lapid is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and member of the a cappella vocal group Earcandy. She became a social media pop sensation in 2020 when a short snippet of her first original song, "Producer Man," garnered over 70 million views. Two years later, she released her major-label debut EP, The Outsider. Her first full-length effort, 2025's Buzzkill, appeared in 2025. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, the Filipino-American songstress studied classical piano before switching to the violin in her teens. Innately musical, Lapid soon added guitar and ukulele to her arsenal, and in 2018 she posted a uke/vocal cover of H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar's "Best Part" on her YouTube channel. More covers followed (Ariana Grande, Edith Piaf, Sarah McLachlan, Sabrina Claudio), earning millions of views, and in 2019 she made the lateral move to TikTok, where she built a sizeable following. In 2020, she released a preview of the original song "Producer Man," which quickly went viral and caught the attention of Republic Records. A full-length version of "Producer Man" arrived later that year, followed by a string of infectious singles, including the 2021 international hit "In My Mind." Both songs appeared on Lapid's 2022 debut EP, The Outsider. Lapid kept the momentum going in 2023 with to love in the 21st century and to love in the 21st century: the epilogue, a pair of EPs exploring the intricacies of romance in the digital age. She issued her first holiday outing, the Christmas-themed Winter Wishes, the following year. 2025 saw the release of her debut long-player, Buzzkill, which focused on themes of connection, loneliness, and self-acceptance.
