Camilo Séptimo
Camilo Séptimo, a Mexican band formed in Ciudad de México in 2013, consists of Manuel Mendoza on vocals and bass, Jonathan Meléndez on keyboards, and Erik Vázquez on guitar. The group emerged following the dissolution of Lady Lane, where Manuel and Erik were members. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their first single “Portales” and the extended play Maya in 2014. Camilo Séptimo gained significant attention with singles like “No confíes en mí” and “Eres,” leading to performances at major festivals such as Vive Latino, Pa’l Norte, and Tecate Coordenada. The band released their debut album, Óleos, in March 2017, followed by Navegantes in January 2019; they later released Ecos (2022) and Jardín de las almas (2023). Notable collaborations include Ximena Sariñana and Luis de Los Misioneros. Camilo Séptimo has been nominated for several awards, including two Premios IMAs nominations in 2015 and a Premio MTV Miaw nomination in 2022 for their video “Inevitable.”
