Molly Kate Kestner

Molly Kate Kestner is a Minnesota-based singer/songwriter best known for her song "His Daughter," which went viral on YouTube in 2014. Kestner's singing style has been compared with artists like Adele and Jewel. The story of a young woman's unplanned pregnancy, "His Daughter" (which Kestner uploaded a video of herself performing in the spring of 2014), eventually drew millions of views after receiving attention from Star Trek's George Takei and pop singer Jordin Sparks, among others. In 2015, she signed a deal with Atlantic Records, which released a studio version of "His Daughter" later that year. Another single, "Good Die Young," arrived in 2016, with "Prom Queen" and "It's You" following a year later. In 2019, Kestner issued another standalone single, "My Way Up."
