Morten

Los Angeles-based Danish electronic musician Morten spins a mix of deep progressive house and electro that packs festival crowds. Along with David Guetta, he created a new sound that was dubbed "future rave." His debut album Drop! arrived in 2009, and as his style evolved, he grew his audience and became a staple on the performance circuit. Sticking primarily to singles releases, he issued a collaborative EP with Guetta in 2020 titled New Rave. The pair remained locked in over the coming years, teaming up on singles and remixes.Born Morten Breum, he started DJ'ing as a teen in his hometown of Aarhus. His arena-filling sound attracted the ears of more seasoned vets like Avicii, Tiësto, Guetta, and Diplo, who remixed his tracks. Signed to PRMD and Ultra Records, Morten released his debut in 2009. Drop! went platinum in Denmark and topped the Danish charts. A series of singles followed, including 2010's chart-topping "Every Time (You Look At Me) with Sisse Marie and 2015's "Stickup" with Juliette Lewis.In 2016, he released "Beautiful Heartbeat," featuring singer Frida Sundemo on vocals. That same year, he issued a series of singles including "Kids" with Steve Aoki and "Love" with Mr. Vegas. "Coffee Can Money," "TTFU," and "Keep Me from You" with ODA arrived in 2017. Morten's next big hit arrived in 2019 with "Magnolia" featuring Nik & Jay, which went platinum in Denmark. His Guetta collaborations also began to increase, eventually culminating in 2020's New Rave EP. The Episode 2 EP arrived in 2022 and featured "You Can't Change Me" with RAYE. Guetta and Morten kept the releases coming into 2025, all under the banner of their "Future Rave" style.
