Essel

Sophia Essel, known professionally as Essel, is a Liverpool-based DJ and producer who has rapidly gained recognition in the electronic music scene. Her dynamic sound blends feel-good house tracks with dance-floor anthems, all infused with an authentic old-school vibe. Essel's versatility has led to releases on leading labels such as Toolroom, Solotoko, Good Company, and Love & Other. Her 2021 track "Love Vibration" marked her debut on Toolroom Records, showcasing her ability to craft catchy vocal hooks and infectious grooves. Prior to this, her collaboration "Runnin'" with Love & Other was a hit on streaming services, highlighting her growing influence in the dance music community. Her 2023 single "Hit "Em Up Style (Oops!)" surfed the minor charts while 2025's collaboration with Alex Mills, "Give Me Desire," crashed into the UK's Top 100 Singles Sales Official chart.
