Kaleido

A heavy rock band from Detroit, Kaleido is built around the soaring, powerful vocals of frontwoman Christina Chriss and the crushing drums of Joey Fava. As melodic as they are heavy, the band earned a reputation as road warriors in the mid-2010s, delivering the hard rock spirit of their hometown to audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. Having shared stages with major acts ranging from Aerosmith to Rob Zombie, Kaleido issued a full-length debut, Experience, in 2017, followed two years later by the EP No Rly... I'm Fine. They continue to tour heavily and issue singles like 2022's rousing "Ghosts."Chriss and drummer/songwriting partner Joey Fava formed Kaleido in 2011. With the addition of bassist Cody Morales and guitarists Ronnie Rosolino and Zach Bolling the band quickly established themselves in the Midwest and began touring nationally in support of their self-titled debut EP. A second EP, Unbreakable, followed in 2014 as Kaleido expanded on their blend of explosive hard rock, pop, metal, and funk. Appearances on the Warped Tour, various festivals, and opening slots for artists like Aerosmith, Evanescence, Sammy Hagar, Slash, and Twenty One Pilots followed over the next few years, further establishing the band's national reach, while at home they netted a handful of Detroit Music Awards. After a 2015 tour of the U.S. supporting Living Colour, the band made their U.K. debut touring with Alien Ant Farm. All of this paved the way for the 2017 release of Experience, Kaleido's first full-length album. 2019's No Rly... I'm Fine EP signaled a lineup shift for Kaleido with new member Drew Johnston replacing Rosolino and Bolling on guitar. An expanded special edition of Experience appeared in 2020 after which Kaleido turned their focus to releasing a barrage of standalone singles including 2021's "Panic in a Pandemic" and 2022's "Run" and "Ghosts."
