ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D

Rookiez Is Punk'd, a Japanese punk rock and emo band, was formed in 2006. The group initially consisted of vocalist and guitarist Shinnosuke, bassist Ryota, drummer U, guitarist Ko-sk, and bassist Tsuyoshi. Their breakthrough came with the release of their first single "Complication" in 2010, which peaked at Number 11 on the Oricon Singles Chart and was used as the second opening theme for the anime Durarara!!. The band's subsequent songs included "In My World" and "Reclimb", serving as theme songs for various anime series, including Blue Exorcist, Bleach, and Yowamushi Pedal. In 2012, they released their first studio album From Dusk Till Dawn and expanded their reach internationally with performances at FanimeCon in San Jose, California, in 2013. Rookiez Is Punk'd continued to gain recognition through collaborations on anime soundtracks and tours in Brazil in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, the band entered a hiatus due to internal disagreements, which lasted until their return to perform at Anime Friends in Brazil in 2024.
