Andhim
German dance duo andhim create club-friendly, sample-driven tech-house which often exhibits a quirky sense of humor. They started out releasing more stripped-down, glitchy tracks, as on their 2010 debut EP Quetschkommode, and began to receive more attention with their 2012 remix of Theophilus London's "Wine & Chocolates." More lush, expressive tracks like 2013's "Hausch" followed, and their sound has continued expanding. They mixed Body Language Vol. 14 in 2014, then launched their own Superfriends Records in 2016. They released the short film Miles to Go (A Road Movie) and its full-length soundtrack in 2020. They've since made more accessible, vocal-heavy material such as a 2024 remake of Olive's "You're Not Alone" and 2025 single "Mon corps."Simon Haehnel and Tobias Müller both came from a hip-hop background, and had experience as turntablists before they met up and started making dance music together. They formed the duo andhim and debuted in 2010 with Quetschkommode, a house EP featuring chopped-up accordion samples. They continued making microhouse with subsequent EPs like Beaver and AleeFee (2011). The duo collaborated with Super Flu on the 2012 EP Reeves, and reached a wider audience with their popular remix of Theophilus London's "Wine & Chocolates." Debuting on Get Physical Music, andhim released "The Wizard of Us" in 2013. The single's wistful B-side, "Hausch," took off, and several remixes were issued. In 2014, andhim mixed Body Language Vol. 14, part of Get Physical's long-running series. After another single for the label, 2015's "Spayce," andhim released the EP Rollercoaster on Monaberry, and collaborated with singer Elderbrook on the Black Butter-issued "How Many Times." Haehnel and Müller formed their own label, Superfriends Records, in 2016, with a song titled "Super" preceding the EP Tosch. More EPs like Huso (2017) and Stay Close to Me (2018) followed. In 2020, andhim released Miles to Go (A Road Movie), a short documentary of their West Coast American tour, as well as a soundtrack mainly consisting of previously released material. The following year, andhim surfaced on Diplo's Higher Ground imprint with "Good Times" as well as "One by One," a collaboration with both Diplo and Elderbrook. They issued the EP Seasons, and collaborated with Turkish producer Carlita on the 2023 EP Life. Branka, with Stil vor Talent founder Oliver Koletzki, also appeared, as well as the single "I Love You"/"I Hate You." In 2024, andhim returned to Higher Ground with their update of Olive's "You're Not Alone." The festival-ready "Feel the Love" (with AMÉMÉ and Malou) appeared on Insomniac Records in 2025, and the duo featured Zaho de Sagazan on the single "Mon corps."
