Zamdane

Born Ayoub Zaidane on September 25, 1997 in Marrakech, Zamdane grew up in Morocco before moving to France in 2015, at the age of 17, to study economics in Istres. With a passion for writing and music, he quickly turned to rap and began releasing his first tracks in 2017, including "Sinbad" and "Favaro". His style blends introspective and melancholy rap, driven by polished writing and airy instrumental sounds. He draws inspiration from artists such as Nekfeu, Médine and Damso, while incorporating influences from the Moroccan scene. Between 2018 and 2020, he released a string of EPs, Yung D/C, 20's, Affamé - Saison 1, Z and Chrysalis, affirming his musical identity. In 2021, he launched the freestyles series Affamé - Saison 2, which attracted a wider audience. The following year, he unveiled his first album, Couleur de Ma Peine, which reached number 5 in the French charts and included collaborations with Dinos, Jazzy Bazz and Soso Maness. In 2023, he continued his Affamé series before releasing his second album, Solsad, in February 2024. This opus, marked by a sensibility on the border between rap and chanson, includes tracks such as " Le Grand cirque" with Pomme, " Alouette" with Josman, " Youm Wara Youm" with Kekra, " Loin d'ici" with Niska and " Mélancolie criminelle" with Sofiane Pamart. Between multiple collaborations with artists such as Mademoiselle Lou, Caballero & JeanJass, Malo, Guy2Bezbar, Dinos and Danyl, Zamdane worked on his third album Rahma (2025). Ranked No. 2 in album sales, it includes the hit "Les Jolies filles" with PLK (No. 61) and contributions from La Fève, Solann and SCH.
