Folk Bitch Trio
Folk Bitch Trio is an Australian folk band from Melbourne, Victoria, formed in 2020 by Gracie Sinclair (vocals), Jeanie Pilkington (vocals, guitar) and Heide Peverelle (vocals, guitar) while still in high school, sharing their first songs around the kitchen table before refining their songwriting and sound over the years. The trio's rich, timeless three-part vocal harmonies combine with a modern, sometimes irreverent approach to folk, blending tenderness, energy and irony. Their lyrics explore the emotions and contradictions of the twenties, touching on relationships, disillusionment, fantasies and social criticism. After a successful debut with titles such as "Headlights" (2020), the doubles "Lost"/"Shivers " (2022) and "Analogue"/"I Heard " (2023), they confirmed their musical identity with "God's a Different Sword" (2024). In 2025, they sign with the Jagjaguwar label and release their debut album Now Would Be a Good Time, hailed for its organic arrangements, haunting harmonies and introspective storytelling, which reaches number 19ᵉ in the Australian charts.
