Culture Jam

Combining the talents of music and sports figures to support aspiring young athletes in underserved communities, Culture Jam is a charitable hip-hop project set in motion by Kawhi Leonard. Executive produced by the professional basketball star, Culture Jam recordings include Kawhi Leonard Presents: Culture Jam, Vol. 1 (2021) and a handful of additional singles.The Culture Jam campaign was launched in May 2021 with an announcement followed later that week by "Everything Different." The track's reflective and motivational vocals were provided by Rod Wave and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and its accompanying video featured high school hoops standout Mikey Williams. A portion of the proceeds from the track went to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation, an organization established "through the vision and loving memory of Kobe and Gianna 'Gigi' Bryant." "Waves" and "Bestie," singles that added Gunna, Polo G, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and Capella Grey to the mix, preceded Kawhi Leonard Presents: Culture Jam, Vol. 1, a seven-track EP that coincided with the first round of the NBA playoffs that October. Next came the 2022 single "OK," featuring Ghanaian-Dutch rapper Frenna and French rapper Bramsito. Culture Jam returned in July 2024 with "Can't Get Enough," a casually confrontational track with BIA, Lakeyah, and Flau'jae trading verses.
