Lilyisthatyou

The stage name of singer and songwriter Lily Davies, Lilyisthatyou is known for her irreverent brand of empowered, tongue-in-cheek pop, blending indie rock with hip-hop and dance influences. She broke through in 2020 with her sex-positive anthem "F.M.R.N.," which went viral and led to the release of her debut 2022 EP, The Character.Raised in Toronto, Davies grew up in a creative family as the daughter of two musicians. They encouraged her to sing and by age 13 she was writing her own songs, drawing inspiration from Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears, and Rihanna. Following a particularly toxic relationship she wrote the song "Heaven or Hell," releasing the track in 2020. From there, she signed a management deal and continued to develop her sound. Out of this process came "F.M.R.N.," an infectious, sex positive anthem that went viral on social media and amassed millions of streams. More tracks followed, including "Party 22," "Purity," and "Moderation." In 2022, Lilyisthatyou released her debut EP, The Character, which included "F.M.R.N." along with the singles "Bad Energy" and "LSD."
