Lizzen

Lizzen is a singer and songwriter whose forthright, soul-rooted contemporary R&B is in a lineage with the likes of Keyshia Cole and K. Michelle, and is nonetheless highly personalized. The Ohio native made her commercial debut in 2023 with the ballad "Official," and the next year issued On the Bus, an eight-song EP boasting collaborations with Keith Sweat, Robin Thicke, and Jacquees.Originally from Akron, Lizzen began writing music and developing dance moves as a youngster, after she became fascinated with the reality television series Making the Band. Over time, developing her writing and singing talents as artistic and emotional outlets became increasingly important to her. "Official," her first single for Run It Up Records, was released in September 2023. By the end of the year, she had three more singles to her credit, namely "Care for You," "Why," and the Trina-assisted "Audacity." Lizzen kicked off the next year with tracks such as "Great Gatsby Freestyle" and "Right & Wrong," and then she enlisted Robin Thicke for a remix of "Why" that went viral. An "Audacity" remix featured Jacquees, and was followed by a remix of "Right & Wrong" with one of Thicke's early influences, Keith Sweat. The remixes and a handful of new songs were gathered for June 2024 release as On the Bus. "Why 2.0" and a remix of "Official" arrived shortly thereafter.
