Tim Clement

Best known for the electronic environments he created as half of the Canadian duo Danna & Clement, this Toronto-based composer has also written music for theater, dance, and film. His early work with Danna explored ways of translating the serenity of Canada's Ontario wilderness into music through ambient compositions that combine synthesizers with recordings of natural sounds. Clement's first major album as a leader, however, is more tuneful and rhythmic as it successfully incorporates ethnic influences into an engaging electro-acoustic context.
