Lithe

The performance moniker of Melbourne-based producer and rapper Josiah Ramel, Lithe weaves elements of hip-hop, R&B, trap, and soul into dark, futuristic productions that have captivated the Australian underground since his emergence in the late 2010s. Ramel's early work combined minimalist club music with post-punk tendencies. His production style began to change in the 2020s, with intricate beats, dark atmospherics, delicate melodies, and introspective lyrics rising to the fore on EPs like Autumn, Rest Assured, and No Man's Land. As his reputation grew, so did opportunities for collaboration, with songs like "Geneva" (Eli Sostre), "Hold Out" (FRVRFRIDAY), and "For You" (Roy Woods) racking up streams in the millions. His fervent cult following grew exponentially with the release of 2024's "Fall Back," which became an international hit.
