Lali Espósito
Like many young aspiring talents of her generation, Argentine actress-turned-pop-singer Mariana “Lali” Espósito (October 10, 1991) took her first steps in acting under the wing of producer Cris Morena. After walking into one of her auditions by mistake, she was cast in the 2003 teen telenovela Rincón de Luz when she was just 12 years old. Following a series of supporting parts on Morena’s Floricienta (2004-2005) and Chiquititas (2006), she finally landed her first leading role as Marianella “Mar” Rinaldi in Casi Ángeles (2007), another production by the Cris Morena Group that catapulted her to fame not just in Argentina but also in Latin America and Israel. The program spawned the musical act Teen Angels, with whom she recorded six studio albums and toured the world between 2007 and 2012. In the years that followed, Lali Espósito starred in several prime-time TV shows and made her musical debut with the album A Bailar, which cracked the Argentine Top 5 after being re-released by Sony in 2014. Her follow-up album Soy (2016) hit Number 1 in Argentina and Uruguay and found the singer embarking on a tour throughout Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Brava, her third full-length, climbed to Number 2 on the local charts and won Best Female Pop Album at the 21st Annual Gardel Awards. Preceded by the singles “Lo Que Tengo Yo,” “Fascinada,” and “Ladrón” featuring rapper Cazzu, Libra arrived in 2020 and quickly soared to the top of the Argentine charts. In 2021, Lali Espósito put her music career on hold to star in the Spanish crime drama Sky Rojo. She returned in 2022 with the single “Disciplina,” reaching Number 34 on Billboard Argentina’s Top 100. The song was later included in her fifth studio effort Lali, released on April 2023. The album also included the electro pop-flavored track "Quiénes Son?" featuring Argentine diva Moria Casán. On April 29, 2025, Lali unveiled her sixth studio album, No Vayas a Atender Cuando el Demonio Llama, showcasing a fusion of classic Argentine rock and pop, and featuring collaborations with Duki on "Plástico," Dillom on "33," and Miranda! on "Mejor que vos." To promote the album, she announced a national tour, including multiple shows at Estadio Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires.
