Simon Abrams RogerEbert.com “Bloody Axe Wound” has a lot of incidents and a clear idea of where its characters should end up, but not much style of its own or a knack for connecting one formulaic dot to the next. Rated: 2/4 Dec 28, 2024 Full Review Casey Chong Casey's Movie Mania The otherwise quirky meta slasher comedy misses the mark. Rated: 2.5/5 Jan 15, 2025 Full Review Charles Johnston Spectrum Culture Bloody Axe Wound is not funny, gory or weird enough to be the ‘80s schlock movie it wants to be. Jan 9, 2025 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment Certainly unique; I just wish it was a bit clearer in execution. Rated: 5/10 Jan 8, 2025 Full Review Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views Though not as philosophical and meditative as “In a Violent Nature” (2024), it finds an upbeat and entertaining way to tackle existential problems. Dec 31, 2024 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru A painfully unfunny, witless and toothless blend of horror, satire and comedy Dec 28, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Mr. Hollywood Done so cheap it is hard to take seriously. I get the concept and what it was doing but man it was like a student film you really do not want to watch but just watch it because a someone you know directed it Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Neil H. The acting was actually quite good. Probably one of the better shot shudder originals I’ve seen loved all the music, and all the callbacks to slasher from the 80s it’s homage to video stores and horror comics Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/31/24 Full Review Audience Member Not the worse movie, but not the best movie. One time and never again kinda movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/25 Full Review Joe Hunziker "A Fun Horror Comedy" with a fresh music score created by artists from the Hudson Valley. 'Bloody Axe Wound' is a must-see and delivers an entertaining twist to the typical slasher story genre. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/01/25 Full Review Joel A The premise and idea behind the film is really good but i feel that they didn’t execute it properly. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/30/24 Full Review 91 M Very odd movie. It is like a dark comedy horror movie with a lesbian love story in the mix. I would not watch it unless you have an unlimited movie membership. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/30/24 Full Review Read all reviews
