Tough and chiseled Ray Breslin (Sylvester Stallone) knows how to infiltrate a prison -- and bust out of one. His latest job leads to a double-cross, leaving him stuck in a high-tech facility with the worst that society has to offer. Luckily for Ray, he meets Emil Rottmayer (Arnold Schwarzenegger), an inmate who secretly helps him hatch a plot to win his freedom. Only sadistic warden Hobbes (Jim Caviezel) stands in the way of the two men successfully making it out alive.

After the finale degrades into a violent shootout and leaves us dissatisfied, not even solid portrayals by Stallone and Schwarzenegger make Escape Plan anything beyond a very, very guilty piece of actionized entertainment.

Silly flick I watched last night. Bad acting by all sadly. Screenplay is weak. Too bad because I like the premise of the story. Could have been pretty great. The dumbest scene ever is when Sylvester Stallone (who is supposed to be a genius but can’t even figure out he’s been duped by overly friendly Schwarzenegger) fashions a sextant out of paper, a pen, and glasses lenses. Ok so let go with it…a few moments later a fellow prisoner uses it to determine latitude from inside an open air prison pit. Lol. That is impossible. You need to see the horizon to use a sextant. I hate when move makers do stuff like that. Bottom line this is watchable but silly and at the end you will be laughing out loud.
